2) Lamp Actuator Plug-In

3) Group/Pattern Setting-Up Plug-In

4) Schedule Setting-Up Plug-In

Application Design Consideration

1) When the number of Link Powered switch nodes are less than 20
and the total number of Lon Devices are not over 62;
- Dont need to put an External Link Power Supply Unit on the LonWorks
but, use on-board SMPS(DC36V 30W) in the OCI-LCM as a Link Power Source

2) When the number of Link Powered switch nodes are over 20
and the total number of Lon Devices are less than 62;
- You need to put an External Link Power Supply Unit (DC36~DC48V) on the LonWorks Network as a Link Power Source

3) When the number of Link Powered switch nodes are less than 20 on channel1 and the number of Link Powered switch nodes are over 20 on channel2;
- You need to put an External Link Power Supply Unit (DC36~DC48V) on channel2 as a Link Power Source for switch nodes on channel2. Use Built-In SMPS(DC36V 30W) in the OCI-LCM as a Link Power Source for switch nodes on channel1

4) When you need to use 4-Wire LonWorks Switch (FTT-10A) nodes
supplied from other manufacturer with OCI-LCM lighting Control
Module instead of Full 2-Way Link Powered Switch node supplied from Orion C&I
- Dont need to use any of Link Power Supply Unit, internally or externally

5) Consideration Factors when you choose a Link Power
Supply Unit (SMPS DC36~DC48V), Capability of SMPS is
defends on the number of Link Powered Switch on the network ;

  • Short Circuit Protection (Essential Function)
  • Built-In inrush current protection (Essential Function)
  • Over Voltage Protection (Recommended Function)
  • Built to meet FCC Class A (Recommended)
